Self striping blue sock yarn, 100g merino and nylon 4 ply yarn, hand dyed stripy yarn
100g (approx. 425m) merino/nylon sock yarn.
Sparkly option 75% merino, 20% nylon 5% silver stellina
Plain option 75% merino, 25% nylon
This self-striping yarn is dyed to fade out of deep blue, into turquoise, then back to deep blue. The overall repeat in socks is around 7 to 8 rows. The sparkly option also has a silver sparkle running through it!
Using a small skein of grey to knit the heels, toes and cuffs will make 2 pairs of adult socks.
I have used similarly dyed skeins to crochet shawls and they will either stripe or give a beautiful variegated effect, depending on the pattern used. (Point-to point shawls stripe, centre out is variegated).
Hand wash only to preserve clarity of colour.
