These socks are a cuff down pattern with an 8 row repeat, suitable for beginner sock knitters.
Reminiscent of waves breaking on the shore, the pattern uses knit, purl, yarn over and passed over slipped stitches to create a flowing wave which works up quickly.
It works well on light coloured, variegated yarns as well as semi solids.
